long overdue for a blog update.

It’s usually slow for me around new years, but I love shooting so I called up one of my favorite models to see if she’d be game for a quick (25 mins) shoot.
Here are my favorites from the first shoot of 2012 (the first of two shoots I did on 1/1/12!).

Here in the Northeast it doesn’t quite feel like Christmas, yesterday was is the 50s. Figured I’d post these images I shot last year to help get people in the Christmas mood. Enjoy!

I’m always inspired by the art of others. Any medium. Visual artists, musicians and even chefs have inspired me with their creativity. (i’ll never forget a balsamic vinegar sorbet I had at Chillingsworth restaurant when i was 16, not only because it was delicious, but because it was a reminder not to be bound by my preconceived notions of things – i would never, EVER have thought such a flavor could work as sorbet and it was delicious.)
This past weekend I went to Miami for Art Basel and was amazed, energized and inspired by all the good art. specifically in the Pulse show. anyway below are some favorites that i snapped pics of with my phone.

just a super shiny sculpture of a shoping cart with a balloon inside? looked cool as hell!

this is a sculpture in a glass box, with one eye closed it looked like a painting.


Art Basil is bananas. yes, they’re real, smelled great. on the last day they were starting to brown a bit.

This Hotel had carboard cutouts of Storm Troopers on their balconies. they did it last year too, glad they brought it back.

i LOVED this sculpture, looked like melted plastic drizzles over lots of stretched fishing line, beautiful effect.

one of my favorite paintings. most works seemed to focus on new media and mixed media. I liked that this was a new creative approach to just Oil on canvas with a timeless & simple subject.

Just shot a couple catalogs for New Balance so the “N”s jumped out at me!

i just saw the Daphne Guinness exhibit at FIT a few weeks back so this jumped out at me.

I like cars, I like art, I like photography… this guy gets me.

The artist builds these sets then photographs them.

simple, elegent, love the proptions of birds to paper, to frame. yum.
